Penelope (aka Penny) is Rosie's sister from Maggie's June litter.
The girls turned 5 months old last week. Penny is a
"big" girl at 52lbs already and has giants paws & long
legs that she still has a while until she grows into. Like
Lisa said, the girls' coloring is absolutely beautiful, we get
compliments every time we go somewhere. It surprises me the
number of people who don't recognize a Red as a Dobie.
Penny started her first Puppy Obedience Class at 10 weeks old and
finished at the top of her class, even though all her class mates
were 5-7 months old. She is currently in a Puppy Agility
Class, the obstacles were a little intimidating at first, but now
she loves learning new ones and linking multiple obstacles together
into mini-courses. She is currently practicing the different
requirements for the AKC's Canine Good Citizen certification, which
we plan on taking at the beginning of the year.
Though I may be bias, Penny is the sweetest dog I have ever known.
She would much gather stay at her father's side while out in the
yard than chase a squirrel or the neighbor's cat. Teething
stage is almost over and the only victims were a few stuffed chew
toys and rawhide bones. All shoes, couch cushions, socks (&
whatever horror stories others may have) were left completely
alone. Allow her a quick smell, and scratch behind her
ears, and she'll be your best friend for life.
I couldn't thank Lisa and Ernie enough for the wonderful job they do
breeding their Dobie Den Dobies.
